With the price of plasma and LCD displays dropping, higher technology solutions in audio and video are being used, the Fender Passport speakers are designed to augment the audio for these displays. In black brushed aluminum extrusion cases, they will match all brands and colors of displays. The speakers come in three configurations and the PDP-1 is a passive pair of speakers meant to be used with displays that have built-in amplifiers.

Durability and looks are built into the Passport speakers with an anodized extruded black aluminum finish. There is also an attractive metal/scrim front speaker grille.
