It seems that Yamaha keeps on showing us that they are the leading company when it comes to making audio products. Here is a whole new Yamaha HTR series! As you can see, the basic, classic AV receiver design stayed almost the same, but internally it's a whole new world, and this world is in HD!

The new Yamaha HTR-6230 is a whole new and improved version of the HTR-6130. It is a 500W 5.1 channel receiver, loaded with HD capabilities. 3 HDMI ports are included (2 ins/1 out). Some additions to the HTR-6230 main features are subwoofer phase selection, initial and maximum volume settings, speaker A or B selection option and a fancy 40 stations preset tuning. In the picture section, Yamaha equipped the HTR-6230 with deep-color, pass-through support.
The new Yamaha HTR-6240 is the next in line and it replaces the older model, the HTR-6140. This unit is really where Yamaha starts to make a difference. The HTR-6240 is a 525W 5.1 channels AV receiver, equipped with HD Audio decoding, 5 HDMI ports (4 in/1out) and new 17 Cinema DSP programs, creating richly realized independent sound fields, that envelops you in an unmatched surround-sound experience. With new scene buttons, such as Blu-Ray and HD DVD, it was never easier to use the HTR receiver. With the optional iPod dock, you can now view your iPod playlist directly on your receiver and in Western-European languages as well. Yamaha also added new decoders, such as the Dolby TrueHD for all of the new HD audio formats. And don’t worry - all the features offered by the old HTR-6140 are available in the HTR-6240.
The Yamaha HTR-6250 is the next step up in the series and is a replacement for the HTR-6150. The Yamaha HTR-6250 is a 630W, 7.1 channels AV receiver, fully loaded with the new world of HD sound and picture quality. The Dolby TrueHD codec, Blu-Ray scene buttons, iPod controls, 5 HDMI ports (4 in/1 out) with CEC functionality and video upscaling to full HD 1080p, make the HTR-6250 an affordable HD lean machine.
The Yamaha HTR-6260 is the next step in the series. This top of the line HTR-6260 630W unit has 7.2 channels, it’s an AV receiver fully compatible with HD audio and video, featuring HD audio decoding, HDMI (4 in/ 1 out), 1080p video upscaling, Pure Direct, YPAO, Cinema DSP 3D and custom installation features. Loaded with Deep color technology support and the ability to customize every aspect in your viewing experience, the HTR-6260 is truly the ultimate AV Receiver for your home entrainment needs.
